Applications are accepted year-round. The workshop committee meets in the summer each year to review the applications and plan the subsequent calendar year’s activities. 

The deadline to be considered for the 2027 workshop series was July 20, 2026. You may still submit a proposal, but we may hold it for consideration for the 2028 series.

The Quebec Writers’ Federation is now accepting written nominations from members of the community for the Judy Mappin Community Award. This award is given to a member of the extended literary community who has made a significant and longstanding contribution to the development or dissemination of English-language literature in Quebec. The award includes a cash prize of $1,000.
